In a move designed to raise standards and transparency in the tutoring sector, The Profs publishes student results from 2023-2025. Outcomes are broken down by subject and study level and reveal +90% success rates.
LONDON, UK / ACCESS Newswire / October 2, 2026 / The Profs has become the first tutoring company to publish three consecutive years of verified student outcomes, giving parents and students an unprecedented view of the impact of professional tutoring.
The move comes as private tutoring has become an increasingly established part of UK education. Sutton Trust research found that 29% of pupils have received private tuition, rising to 45% among pupils from London.
For families, however, the true cost of tutoring can be difficult to gauge: paying by the hour gives little indication of the total time or financial investment typically needed to improve a grade or secure a life-changing university offer.
The Profs' Results, Year by Year (2023-25)
Based on 484 student responses, the headline figures below show the outcomes achieved, alongside the average tutoring hours associated with academic progress.
A-Level Outcomes:
- 70% achieved A*-A in 2025, while 91% achieved A*-B across the three-year period.
- A*-A attainment increased by 21% between 2023 and 2025.
- 90% A*-B success rate across Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics & Quantitative Sciences.
- +2.0 average grade increase in 2025 with just 24 hours of tutoring.
Undergraduate Outcomes:
- 93% achieved a 2:1 or above across the three-year period.
- 57% achieved a First-Class result in 2025 (nearly 2x the national average).
- +2.0 average grade increase in 2025 with just 21 hours of tutoring.
University Admissions Outcomes (2024-25):
- 99% of undergraduate applicants gained entry to their first or second-choice.
- 2 in 3 offers came from a Top 10 UK university.
- 70% of Oxbridge admissions students secured offers (4x the national average).
